FUNDAMENTALS OF VISUAL LANGUAGE-LJL

MY JOURNEY

This project was based on "Learning through making". We were assigned with tasks which were meant to enhance our artistry skills and ability to think of variations.

It was a very interesting project and required lots of efforts.

This project was mentored by Mr.Kishore Chakraborty Sir and Mr. Josh P.S Sir . Both of them were so kind and inspiring. They motivated us to do better and explore all the possibilities.

The above are 20 textures made with penci.These are 2x2 in size and hardly took a minute each.

The above textures are made with ink. they are 4x4 in size and took nearly around 2-3 minutes. i had fun doing the leaf texture and bottle texture.

This alone took 1.5 hours to complete. it is made with pencil and charcoal.

one of my favourite work from the activity. i had so much fun making this.

This was super easy to make. i'd cut a lemon into half and created the impressions using ink.

Fundamental of visual language taught by Kishore sir and Josh sir was the best project soooo far. since day1 we had so much fun while doing the project, learnt different ways of drawing shapes, new words like DK that is dil khush ,dil mange more , mogambo khush hua , virtual highfives were some sweetest moments in the project.

I wanted to make a cloud which shows heaviness so, i used alot of circles with minimum spaces in them and shaded them darker. All the activities in this project were based on only one mantra that is don't think much ,just do whats comes in your mind. in design nothing is right or wrong!

As our teachers told us that nothing is right or wrong in design , i would like the say that

if given a chance to improve i would definately improve the above work!

The environment created by teachers and peers is incredible. Learning through with peers is actually very helpful. It helps in development of new and unique ideas in class.When a student is getting feedback it actually helps in creating more better ideas and learning.

Patterns and textures created in Fundamentals of visual language will definately help in future learning.

For example the imprints we made through leaves, friuts and other different objects on paper, will help me as fashion designer student in future. i can make same imprints or textures on a cloth as well.

one thing i would love to appreciate is that we were given the liberty of exploring, we were not stopped at any point , we were always pumped to do more and more.

overall i had really good time with my teachers and peers. i have learned alot from them.
