PRE TASK

WE WERE ASSIGNED TO COLLECT 25 GREEN OBJECTS WHICH SHOULD BE UNIVERSALLY ACCEPTED ( THE 25 OJECTS SHOULD INCLUDE PHYSICAL AS WELL AS INTERNET IMAGES)

At first I thought it would be very difficult to find 25 green objects but as I started to collect I found the objects very easily.

DAY1

Few days back we were assigned a particular colour and were asked to find 25 things of that colour. I got the colour "GREEN''. At first I thought how I will I find 25 green things but when I started the TREASURE HUNT I easily got everything around me.

Today was the first day of the project, we were asked to do the colour gradations of one object at a time. I was able to do three objects only because in morning I didn't had any material ready with me and not to forget I made a mistake at the beginning so I had to do everything again. Overall I had fun and I would love to mention that teachers at IIAD very very helpful <3.I hope to meet them in person really soon.

Thank you

DAY 2

ON DAY2 we were asked to do swatches of 10 objects . I really had so much fun in doing the swatches . I was able to do only 4 swatches in class because of I was not ready with my material and not to forget I had to redo my assignment because I didn't leave any space between the colour swatches

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DAY3

ON DAY3 we were asked to complete all the 25 swatches and submit the assignment on weekend . By the end of day3 I was ready with my 18 swatches.

At the beginning it was bit difficult to make exact colour swatches but as I moved to more objects it became more easier to make swatches.

Some of my swatches are as follows

ON DAY 3 WE ALSO EXPLORED COLOUR ASSOCIATIONS

we made Mind map in groups as in how the allotted color has context categories and the associations it has with color and items.

Here is the Mind Map which was made along with my peers:

DAY4

The different lighting at the background depicts different moods like fear, happiness, horror, lively ,suspicion.

This shows how lighting plays a vital role in properly defining a situation/mood which the artists are trying to portray.

Thus the power of lighting can t be subsided therefore playing a key role in every situation.

Dark background depicts tension, fear, anxiety whereas light background depicts happiness and lively moments.

DAY6

REFLECTING WRITING 2

We don’t realise how much colours effect our lives from buying a basic t-shirt to buying branded dresses we always look for colour ! COLOUR PSYCHOLOGY Color can dramatically affect moods, feelings, and emotions, It has a psychological impact on human brain. Certain colours have been associated with hunger, anxiety , calmness and eyestrain.

Just like in today’s classs we discussed about warm and cool colours, they have an impact on us.Warm colours include red, orange and yellow. These warm colors evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger where as cool colours include blue, purple and green. These colors are often described as calm, but can also evoke feelings of sadness or indifference.

CUSTOMER COLOUR PREFERENCES

Colour plays an important role for brands to sell their products. Colours / Packaging attracts customers to buy a certain products even if a more good product is available in market , people now days are more influenced by packaging rather than quality or quantity of a product For example : when you are in soft drinks section and you want to buy a coke can , what comes in your mind first? A red can . When people purchase a vehicle they tend to purchase according to climates for example :people who live in hot climates typically prefer light-colored vehicles over dark ones.

COLOUR WHEEL The colour wheel was invented in 1666 by Isaac Newton.

There are 12 main colours on the colour wheel. It is divided into primary, secondary and tertiary colors. PRIMARY COLOURS in the RGB color wheel are the colors that, added together, create pure white light. These colors are red, green and blue SECONDARY COLOURS are colors that result from mixing two primary colors. TERTIARY COLOURSare colors made by combining a secondary color with a primary color. THERE ARE ALSO TINTS ,SHADES AND TONES TINTS: When we add white colour to hue. SHADE:When we add black colour to hue PRECEPTION OF COLOUR

Different people have different perception of colours . When I say yellow what comes to your mind first? or when I say happiness which colour comes to your mind first ? For some people lemon will appear as soon as some says yellow or for some people yellow will come in their mind when someone will say happiness. I had colour green so, my perception will be different. For me green means nature, freshness, wealth, islamic religion etc, for other it will be different.
