I really enjoy and love DS as a module. I was confident about the result yet very nervous about the vector map specially , upon receiving the feedback I knew vector map is the thing i need to work more or we can say i need to work more my digital skills.
Honestly learning digital skills online is little difficult for me , but i will pay more attention my classes more. Whereas in Think lab my positive spirit towards group work and active engagement with my peers worked out pretty well , on one hand think lab helped in increasing my knowledge about the tools and on the other hand group projects helped me to make new friends. I really enjoyed interacting with Hemanshi ma'am and Pranay sir
My reflections, though decent, failed to express my deeper thoughts and insight. This was one of the major gaps in my approach to term one. The term 1 feedback can help me improve the outcome of the 2nd term. Firstly, I would want to work on my reflections and writing skills. I need to make deeper connections. Secondly improve my design terminology. I would like to add more personal research to my projects. and dive deeper into the topics.
FEEDBACK
Gunika, You have shown very good engagement with all the Think Lab activities of the module. You have been motivated towards your learning, working consistently to meet the demands of all activities, mostly making timely submissions, taking and incorporating feedback regularly, and being interactive during the sessions. You have pushed the limits of your own ability, shown inclination for deeper understanding and shown commendable development over the last 4 months. In "Just Dough it!" project, you have taken a fairly exploratory approach for creative experimentation. Often displayed inclination to take risks and explore. Reasonably good recording of the process on the Blog, with some critical observations and reflections. The Learner's Log lacks any insights and therefore does not do justice to your engagement withe project. "In "Illustrated Vetor Map" project, you demonstrate limited exploration of ideas. There is much need for an iterative approach. The creative process is not documented on the blog - we only get a glimpse of it in the PDF submission made. You should record the creative process in more detail providing the rationale behind your design direction and decisions. You also need to be more thoughtful about your design direction and decisions. Please complete the process documentation (on the blog) before end-of-the-year Summative Assessments. Furthermore, you are advised to re-attempt this project for your learning, intermitenttly discussing the creative process with the tutor."
