The assessment was not as per my expectation, I agree that there was less work in particularly DDD and Isometric . In FVL 2 the flower jasmine is white and there are not much hues and colours so the amount of explorations were limited.
In FVL 1 I tried my best to explore everything nicely but surely take care of the given feedbacks in future.
Yes I did not meet the quantity requirements of each task but I tried to do so by submitting as much as I could. I was interactive with my tutors of FLV1 & FLV2 as well, their virtual feedbacks helped me improve a lot.
Dear Gunika, You have shown limited engagement with the projects / assignments / activities of the module and these have been approached as mundane tasks. You have not been keeping pace with the activities & submissions - completing them towards the end, without much discussion with tutors. As a result there has been no/negligible growth over the last 4 months. There is need for regular engagement and a desire for learning. You need to attend class regularly, discuss work-in-progress, and make timely submissions. Your Submission is not organised as per prescribed format - there is no submission in the FA Folder on Google Drive. The DDD work is not assimilated in a PDF - making it difficult to review . It is also insufficient. Please be careful about this in future as it can cost you your grades - work that is not organised as per instructions may be taken as No Submission and can lead to Failure in the module. In the EoC project, you have undertaken adequate exploration of colour as a visual element of design. There are some deviations in your colour extraction - you need further practice of handling media. You demonstrate some awareness of the role of colour in visual language & communication; however the study of associations and symbolism is limited to the obvious ones - wider exploration would lead to a more holistic understanding. During FVL1, you demonstrate limited exploration of visual elements of design (dot, line, shape, form) to represent ideas and themes, lacking any creative application. During FVL2, you demonstrate limited observation of the selected organic form - there is no analysis. You have used limited variety of media and colour (tints & shades) to capture the 3-dimenssionality of the form. Your representation does not capture the character and details fully. You need regular practice of detailed observation and of using all mediums for representations. There is an adequate application of learnt digital tools for execution of the Illustrated Vector Map project - a wider exploration of tools and a more challenging application is encouraged. Furthermore, as evident through the final outcome of the Illustrated Vector Map, there is some awareness and application of the "Principles of Visual Design"; but you need to further develop your visual sensitivity towards colours, proportions and arrangements. Insufficient practice as part of DDD. As a result there is negligible / no improvement in your observation as well as representation. You need to regularly work on your DDD, as your drawing skills are not up to the mark as yet. You have adequate understanding of the fundamental concept of the Isometric system of drawing; there has been sufficient exploration. You need to continue to practice this regularly as part of DDD, to gain proficiency. Your posts for learner's Log of this module have been made after a long gap - this dilutes the purpose and learning benefit. The posts do not demonstrate a sufficiently reflective approach to draw learnings. The commentary is restricted to a simple description of the experience and lacks analysis. Moving forward, you must complete the Log on time because analysing a recent experience is more effective. You must dive deeper and try to articulate observations in more detail. And make inter-connections between your observations (past & present) as well as components of the taught materials/ concepts, to convert the experiences into meaningful learning for future application.
