SOCIAL MEDIA CULTURE

Social media plays a big role in my life as it is the main source of showcasing my talent to the world as well as generating new ideas for me, I am always on my social which I know is not a thing to be proud of but over the years I have developed the brighter side of social media in which I can increase my knowledge and skills like for example I always look for reference images on my social media platforms when I post my makeup looks and for me right now social media is an essential part of my life.

Like any other community, social media has its own norms, rules, rituals, and practices some of which are:

1. Posting regularly

2. Being in contact with people

3. Posting helpful blogs and videos

4. posting every alternative day

5. Spreading positivity

According to me, these are the unsaid beliefs which the social media community follows:

1. Not accepting follow requests of unknowns in your private id

2. Not spreading hate

In my opinion, there are still traditions and customs that are followed:

1. The feeling of not belonging to the community

2. Voicing their political opinions

Non-material culture of social media:

1. Emojis

2. Hashtags

3. Story tags

4. Photos

5. Emoticons

6. Using abbreviations

Concluding this I believe social media has become a very important part of everyone's life and specially mine, therefore it is very essential to use it in the correct manner to not only have fun and be in contact with people but also to learn new things and increase your intellectual thinking.

For me social media plays a vital role in knowing the new makeup and fashion trends.
